It just wouldn't. I thought I would share with you guys what films I am currently into watching at the moment there is some oldies as well as some new ones!

5 ways to stay positive

Recently I have been a lot more positive and generally more happier and there is a number of things that have made that happen but I wanted to share with you guys the main things that have helped me. Just before I carry on these things are not anything new and that a lot of you don't know already but sometimes I find you may just have to be gently reminded and think about you!

Balance diet
We all know the saying, you are what you eat and I truly believe that. When you get fast food and eat things that are processed they will only keep you satisfied for a short period of time but I find when you avoid all of that badness and plan and actually look at what your putting in your body you feel so much better for it. Don't get me wrong I will still have the odd take away as a treat but I just balance everything.

Apps that I use the most

There is soo many apps out there that do so much these days it's so hard to actually know what ones to download and use.

With all that goes on in life now, with what's the latest fashion, who broke up with who or the latest TV show and the list goes on. Sometimes so hard to keep up with things and I try to limit the amount I have and how much I use them it gets so addictive !

There is a few apps I use on a regular basis and I thought I would share with you all.

Social media
Instagram, Snapchat and Watsapp are definitely my most used social apps, these are ways I keep up with friends, trends and what's going on in the world. Recently I've started to use Pinterest more you can get some really good inspo on there especially when I'm looking for a new nail colour or different meals to try.

How I meal prep for work

Recently I have been meal prepping like crazy and one of my friends recently asked if I was going to write it up on my blog and it was a little strange as I had in mind to share with you guys how I meal prep.

The last thing I want to do after being at work all day and then the gym is to stand in the kitchen for hours cooking something. Also after the gym I didn't want anything too heavy to eat to make me feel sloggish. So I just came up with a simple veg and chicken meal, you can change this to what ever veg you like and season the chicken how ever you want.

What you'll need
5 containers to put your meals in
Sharpe knife
Chopping board
Mixing bowl 9for seasoning the chicken)
Large Bowl (for mixing the vegetables)
Vegetable peeler
Frying pan
3 pots (potentially)

Empties of 2019 part 6

Here is another one of the empties posts, as you may already know these are products I've recently finished and here are my thoughts....

Naobay Protective hair mask volume and conditioner
I received this in a GlossyBox and as it says it's a volume hair mask and conditioner. I had quite a few uses out of it and my hair did feel lovely after using it.

Would I buy again?
No and mainly because I have no idea where to purchase it and I feel there is other volume conditioning masks you can get more locally.

Colgate max white toothpaste
Recently I've been getting into the whole charcoal/whitening toothpastes and I feel this is definitely a good like budget one. It doesn't have a funny taste as I have noticed some charcoal ones have and I did notice my teeth looked a bit more white.

Would I buy again?
Yes, a lot of places have this for £4 but have a look around you can pick it up cheaper.

I absolutely love autumn time to me it's just cosy, grab a coffee or tea and either watch a film or go sit in a coffee shop and watch the day go by, that's if you haven't got anything to do lol.

I thought I would share with you all what pieces I am currently loving and potentially will end up buying!

Goals for October

I'm going to be doing these posts every few months, I find it a bit exciting to have a goal and something to work towards. The reason I'm not doing it every month as I believe sometimes you may not achieve that goal straight away and you're still working on it.

So for October I have a few things I want to concentrate on.....

What did I get up to on my week off?

This past week I have been off from work on 'holiday'. It was a very much needed break I feel like this year has been busy and I haven't really had a decent period time off work to just chill and whatever.

So what did I do with my week off?
Well of course it was August bank holiday and my whole weekend was jam packed.

My auntie was in London with her friend and I popped to see them for a little bit to say hi and I was also meeting Sharna as she was down for the weekend but came a day early to come see me and where I live. It was so good to have a good catch up with her. We got a load of comfort munchie food and a couple bottles of wine and literally talked all evening.

Beauty favs of July/August

The past couple months I have really been getting into the habit of trying new products or a different way of doing my regime a little and I've discovered a few new products that I wanted to share with you guys. I'll be honest these are not all brand new on the shelves but they are new to me and I think it's sometimes good to try things that have been out for a little bit. I find if you keep using the same things over and over again your skin gets immune to it and it don't seem to work as good as it used to so to switch it up every now and again is good.

PS clear and cool refining toner £2
For £2 I had to give this a try! With it's tea tree and witch hazel it's designed to purify skin and refines pour. I use it every night before I bed and I don't find my pours are as big and it just makes my skin feel more cleaner but not too clean where I feel stripped of my natural oils.

Batiste dry shampoo in tropical
You all know I love a dry shampoo, they come in so handy if I haven't had a chance to wash my hair or I just want to add a little texture. This one smells so gorgeous just like summer!

Will I buy again?
Of course!

First month in Croydon

How crazy it has been like nearly two months since I moved out but I didn't just move out of home I actually moved out of Ipswich all the way to Croydon! It really does not seem like I moved that long ago.

I won't go into too much details about the move as I had mentioned that on a previous post but it actually went okay, we was pretty organised so that helped a lot. After the move came the unpacking which was kind of fun but I didn't realise how much stuff I actually had and it all had to go somewhere. I can happily say that everything is now unpacked and put away where it needs to be. I might in the future change a couple things but for now it's all good.

I was lucky enough to have a few days off in between finishing my last job and starting my new one so I was able to walk around a little bit and check out the local high street. The area that I'm living in I am sooooo close to everything I actually don't need to use public transport well I can but why when I can walk especially with this weather being so nice lately! I have found so many shops to pick things up especially food, if you know me you will know I love food shopping!

Goals for July

So this is up a little later then I thought it was going to be, I actually cannot keep up with myself at the moment!

As you all know I moved to Croydon recently so I have been adjusting and settling in. It’s still not quite real that I’m here to be honest but I’m sure it will be soon.

There is a few things that I want to get back into doing that I was doing back home and some new things too.

Gym/exercise
My main thing right now is to get back into going to the gym and doing some physical activity. It's crazy I actually miss going to the gym so I'm hoping that now I'm kind of settled that I will be getting my but back in the gym!

Thank you

I'll be honest I sat here for a while thinking what to call this post and I couldn't think of anything better than thank you.

You know from my last post I made a big move to the big "smog" as my auntie said. It has been such a crazyyyyy couple months honestly.

Everyone that had helped me from family to friends and even people I worked with, the reception team were even keeping boxes aside for me, were just so helpful. It took a lot to do this move and I don't know how I would of done it especially with the support of my parents they were just so so amazing.

Where have I been?

Hi guys!!

Firstly, I want to say I am so so sorry I haven't posted on here or my YouTube, the last couple months have been absolutely crazy for me! Some of you know if you following me on Snapchat or Instagram but for those of you who don't, I made a big decision and moved to Croydon. Yes I finally done it! After wanting to move to London way for so many years, I found a job and decided to move.

I was very lucky that I only had two interviews and the second one I got! When I found I had the job, I had 6 weeks till I started my new one but also what was crazy and didn't really settle in until like my last day was the fact I was leaving my job at the time and miss the crazy friends and family that I had there.

How to boost tired and dull skin

Do you ever get that feeling when you look in the mirror sometimes and your skin just looks dull and tired and you just feel urgh? Well lately that's exactly how I've been, the past couple months have been a lot crazy for me some of you know but all will be revealed shortly in a post and on my YouTube channel.

I thought I would share with you all what I have been doing to give my face/skin a little boost and some me time, just to let you know if you don't know already I have combination skin so some of these products may not be best suited but I will try and link the equivalent. You may think this is quite simple but finding the products that suit your skin can be quite difficult to begin with. This is what I tend to do once a week or some products once every few weeks.

What I typically eat in a day

I did think about doing a 'What I ate in a week' post but I struggled to remember to write down or take photos of my main meals and snacks so I thought I would just do a day one. Maybe later when I'm fully settled with everything (all will be revealed soon enough) I can then do a week one so you can get more of an idea what kind of foods I eat.

I try not to eat so much processed foods and like to prepare things myself so I know what's going in them. This is just an average day at both home and work so it gives you an idea what I eat.

Breakfast
If you follow me on snap you will have already seen plenty of times I often start my day with a big bowl of fruit. It will consist of fruits like: raspberries, blackberries, mango, strawberries and green apple and maybe a banana oh and sometimes I have a spoonful or two of fat free natural yoghurt on top.

No7 HydraLuminous Moisturising Foundation Review

!!!NEW FOUNDATION ALERT!!!!

About a month ago I picked up a new foundation, I just wanted a high street one as I would be wearing it for work. So I popped in my local Boots to see what they had and I don't know if it's just me but trying to get a foundation to match is such a nightmare I even had my mum with me and we just couldn't decide but to my rescue a lady from the No7 counter came over and offered to help me find a foundation.

The way No7 match you with foundations and even lipsticks is they have this little device and they hold it against your jaw line and it finds your shade. Of course they ask what your skin type is as well so they get the right one as well. I was matched with the HydraLuminous Moisturising Foundation in shade Calico. This particular foundation has a blend of anti oxidants including vitamin A, C and E mixed with grapeseed oil to keep your skin moisturised. She applied it to one side of my face so I could see the difference. Well I was literally like this is exactly what I want!! I want coverage to get hide spots and scars but not too much that you cannot see my freckles. It was just yes! So of course I had to buy it. She didn't let me leave the shop with only half a face done, which some make up artists do, she done the other side as well.

As part of my goals for April, click here to view the post, I am reading a book and I am actually sticking at it! I wanted something which was a good read but also positive and uplifting and I am so glad I had picked this one up. Empties of 2019 part 4

I made a pact to myself this year that I would try different brands and products seeing as I have a small collection of things I'm finishing a lot of different kinds of products lately which is definitely a good thing! So here is the latest lot of products I've finished.....

Palmers cocoa butter solid formula
Who doesn't love the smell of Palmers cocoa butter?! I love this and it certainly keeps you moisturized just it can leave your hands feeling very greasy after

Will I buy again?
Yes, this is great if you have dry skin

Schwarzkopf rise and shine volume and hair spray
I got this when I was away one weekend as I forgot mine and I thought I would try this one as I wanted some volume too. I think what sold it was the volume side but unfortunately I was a bit disappointed there was not really any volume I had to spray a lot to get anything.

Will I buy again?
No, I know there is other products that do add volume

Concert night outfit

Soooo on Friday I went to see Stefflon Don! Ooooh I was so excited, this should of happened last November but she had to reschedule but I ended up getting a refund and instead decided to go to the London one and thought it's the bank holiday weekend so why not make a weekend of it!

I was not entirely too sure what to wear I didn't want to go super casual but did not want to go super dressed up! I think I decided ripped jeans and either a bodysuit or shirt maybe tucked in or some kind of oversized t shirt dress? But whatever I decided I wanted to be comfortable!

My first week at Slimming world | April 2019

For a little while now I've been thinking about rejoining Slimming World, I think I stopped going around 2 and a half years ago. It just got a bit too much and I felt that the consultant who was running it was not supportive and didn't really seem to care, my mum actually agreed too! So I had given it some thought and decided to rejoin as I noticed our local one has a new consultant and thought I would give it a go again. Previously I did do so well and lost nearly 2 stone but I got to a point I was like urgh whatever, even though I felt so much better but the support I didn't get had something to do with my lack of enthusiasm.

So I walked in and I will be honest I got nervous and the anxiety kicked in.
We went through everything from what's "free" to eat and what is not so free and the naughty things to avoid. I do find it so much easier to write a food diary and I can see what exactly I am eating and can plan meals.

Getting my hair done part 2

It's that time again, I'm getting my hair done!!

I'm actually loving this whole getting my hair done just makes me feel all excited and a treat to myself. So since my first post I have changed my hairdresser, not because I was unhappy with what she had done but when I had tried to book another appointment she didn't get back to me it took my friend at work to message her and she still didn't come back to me until a good 5 days after I sent my original message so as you can imagine I wasn't impressed. Anyway someone I've known for many years I had spoken to her a couple times as I know she's a hairdresser and asked if she could do my hair. We discussed what sort of thing I want which is basically balayage something a bit different for me and low maintenance I find if you go for this look you don't have to keep getting your hair done every 4/6 weeks cause your roots are coming through and I wanted change I was getting fed up of the dark brown. She knew exactly what I was going for and booked me an appointment.

My goals for April

I thought I would try something new to my blog it's not a totally new thing as I have read and watched things like this before. I do like the idea of having a goal or aims for the month something to work to. So without rambling on too much here are my goals for April

Read a book
I have a pile of books to read but I just find myself with no time to read but then I sit there not doing anything? So I am making it my aim to read more I used to love reading a book especially before bed. I have one ready that I'm excited to start Good Vibes, Good Life by Vex King, I know I won't finish the book in a month but who knows. Maybe when I do eventually finish it I'll update you guys on my thoughts.

Plan more/organise
Literally if you know me you know I love to organise and plan weekends away, blog posts etc but it has been slacking a little bit lately but I soon want to be back on track. I love my Filofax it is always with me as I tend to forget if I have things planned also I always have a notebook as well this is to keep any ideas down so I don't forget them. Also I have a few like weekly planners which are good for when I'm at home and have things to do. So next month I will be organising and planning more, it's like I have an obsession with knowing what's going on but believe me there is days where I will just go with the flow and not have anything planned and have the best times ever.

Clear/update wardrobe
This is going to be a struggle and I am not looking forward to this. For the longest I've wanted to go through my wardrobe and just be a bit cut throat and actually throw things away that I know I haven't worn and don't plan to wear! As I go through everything I will be looking to see if there is any staple items I need to replace or actually buy. I don't just throw things away in the bin I will often put items up on my Depop or give them to charity.

Spring clean
There is nothing more therapeutic then a good clean, open up the windows get some fresh air in, get some nice room sprays and just clean. There is now so many nice smelling cleaning products out there now and I've picked up a few tips from Mrs Hinch! I think I might do this after I have gone through my clothes and try organise things more.

Do you have any goals for April?

Empties part 3

Another empties post ! Very slowly I am getting through the stash of beauty products I have and I am making sure that I finish them unless I didn't like or get on with them. So here is March's empty products.

Rodial dragon blood eye mask
The name of this had me curious like dragons blood hmm? I've never tried a eye mask before and this hydrates, tones and reduces puffiness. The application was very fiddly to be honest and I nearly gave up the actual bit you put under your eyes has a protective layer each side, I don't know why tho? Once applied it was fine and I left it on for about 30 minutes and just massaged the left over serum under my eyes. After my eyes actually felt refreshed and a little brighter.

Would I buy again?
Yes, we all need a little brighten and refresh now and again.

PS Beauty Pollution protect wipes
OMG these wipes are just like the best, I recently reviewed them (click here to read) so I won't go into too much detail about them but for a wipe they really did remove all my make up and make my skin feel clean. I cannot get over that they are from Primark too!

Would I buy again?
Yes over and over and over again!

Nivea urban skin defence day cream review

Nivea recently brought out a new face cream (not sure entirely when) the Urban Skin Moisture Boost Day Cream. So this is a 48 hour moisture boost with anti-oxidant, bio green tea extract and hyaluronic acid day cream and it's designed to protect your skin from pollution and the sun as it's got added SPF (20). I'll be honest I've never actually used a face cream with SPF in and I don't add one as I just don't have time in the mornings and adding so many layers to my skin it starts to feel a bit clogged. I was definitely intrigued to try this, as my day cream was coming slowly to an end and as the weather is changing I wanted to try something a little different. I'm not sure if this is just me but I find when I use some skincare products for a while the effectiveness of it is not the same so I find it good to change now and again.

Finally getting my hair done !

So after like 10 years I finally decided to get my hair done in a hairdressers!

EEKKKK!!!!!!!!

I used to get my hair done quite often but it stopped and I would get my mum to colour it, I became lazy. For a while I've wanted to change my colour and go lighter but when you've used XXL live colours so many times in the past despite going a shade lighter the colour just wouldn't budge. Alison, my work colleague, recommended to go Baiss and Co and the amazing Taz who does her hair every month and she has had some pretty crazy colours. No sooner I said yeh ok lets do it she was on her phone asking if she had any spaces on the following Tuesday within an hour I was booked in. Pictures of my current hair and what I would eventually like were sent over so she had an idea of what she was working with.

Primark gym wear

Over the last few months or so I have really got back into the gym and my passion for it is coming back. I have been going gym for the past couple years now and it initially to get fit and loose weight but after a while it became more to help with my anxiety and to try keep my mind off things and it definitely does I have noticed I am so much happier and feeling more positive about things although I still have some days where I do feel down but more time it's all good.

The one thing which is a must about leggings for gym is they have to be high waisted and a decent waist band which is slightly tight as there is nothing worse than having a them constantly fall down and your yanking them up in the middle of your walk or run on the treadmill! I like to feel a bit supported but comfortable at the same time. T-shirts/tops at the moment I am not where I want to be in my physical appearance to wear like the fitted tops so I just often pick up a baggy top sometimes even pick them up from the mens section I find them more comfortable.

Empties of 2019 Part 2

It's that time again to see what I've recently finished and my thoughts. In this month there has been some great products used and definitely thinking of purchasing in the future again.

Dove deodorant in floral touch
I absolutely love dove deodorant, it's one of them ones that you smell like hours after you've sprayed it. Usually I just get the original but I thought I would give this one a try and it's a light floral scent it's not like over powering make you want to sneeze kind of scent and won't clash with any perfumes.

Would I buy again?
Yes :)

The Body Shop hand and nail cream in almond
Honestly these hand creams last so long and it's surprising that a little bit goes a long way. This is such a moisturising cream but doesn't make your hands feel greasy or dry after 10 minutes and it doubles up as a nail cream too I noticed when I used this often my nails would look and feel better.

Would I buy again?
Yes, recently bought mini one hoping it will help get my nails back looking better again!

PS Pollution protect cleansing wipes review

A few weeks ago I stayed in London but I completely forgot my baby wipes to take my make up off so I ran (not literally) into Primark to pick some up. I know I know I shouldn't use baby wipes to take my make up but I've not really found any face wipes that are reasonable priced, actually take everything off and make my skin feel reasonable clean as I often feel like I'm having to wash my face straight away.

Well there was a lot of wipes they all were different who knew Primark done so many different ones? Clearly not me lol. After about 5 minutes of looking and debating what ones would be best I came to a conclusion, as I was in London and picked up the pollution protect ones. They come as a two pack of 25 for £1 which was cheaper than the Boots branded wipes I recently picked up!

Urban Decay Prime and Setting spray review

For a long time, believe it or not, I rarely use setting spray now and again I would use Mac's Fix+ but use it to dampen my sponge before blending out my foundation. I thought I would start looking at some and I've seen so much talk around Urban Decay setting spray and a few of their other products. For a while now I've wanted to try some new products but unlike me I haven't really been buying make up so much lately. In all honesty I didn't want to purchase to full size bottle and not like it but I noticed Debenhams had a 'All Day All Night' duo pack which consisted of Quick Fix Hydra-Charged Complexion Prep Priming Spray and All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray.

Marc Jacob's Daisy Love review

For a little while now I've been looking for a new day time perfume as I don't really have any. I've tried in the past to go into a department store or perfume shop and smell some but after a while I find my sense of smell goes and everything just smells the same and then some of them really strong and starts making me sneeze, oh it's so annoying. Does anyone else ever feel like that when smelling perfumes? Maybe it's just me.

What I've been watching recently

Over the last few weeks I've been watching some different films and TV series to what I would normally watch. If I'm honest I rarely feel like I have time to actually watch something as I'm either running about or updating my blog and don't want to get distracted! But I made a point to just relax and watch a few things.

Birdbox
If you haven't heard of this and the hype then where have you been?! I was only discussing this with one of my friends the other on both how we see a few different things and need to watch it again. If you really don't know about this Sandra Bullock is pregnant and something is released into the world sending everyone crazy and the only way to survive is to stay in doors but what happens what supplies start getting low and when the crazy people act normal?
Available on Netflix

Luther
So my mum watches this every season and I only decided to watch the most recent and oh wow I couldn't wait for each episode and my manager at work watches it too so every morning we had a catch up. I won't go into it and I know I need to watch the seasons previous but ooh there is some twisted people and I kind of feel a bit for Luther.
Available on BBC iPlayer and NetflixGreenleaf
You know when you on Netflix and you get that like advert well this is how I found Greenleaf and oh boy did I get addicted! I watched 3 seasons (13 episodes each and 40 minutes long) in like 2 weeks. Now I'm not religious and it didn't make me want to start going church or anything but it was just the whole story behind it, this family who run a church and what goes on behind closed doors. If you have watched this you will know what I mean, like how many more things can happen to this family?
Available on Netflix
Girl on the train
I initially read the book by Paula Hawkins, I loved the story it's like what really happened? Who was telling the truth? My mum read the book after me and couldn't put it down. When I heard a movie was being made about it I was not overly excited but I gave it a chance and knowing what happened in the book I thought they done well with the movie obviously they didn't fit everything in and the location was in another country which I was a little disappointed with but overall I did enjoy it.
Available on Netflix
Den of thieves
This is about a group of highly skilled bank robbers planning a heist at a major Federal Reserve of course there is team of cops who are determined to get them and stop them but what happens at the end really like got me I was like omg so sneakyyyy. I would recommend it.
Available on Netflix
Christmas Chronicles
So I was adamant I was going to watch some Christmas films over the festive period and this came up and it's this young girl who loves Christmas and wants to see Santa doing his thing and of course things get a little carried away and it's down to them to save Christmas. It's a lovely family film and there is some funny bits. the little elf flossing made me and my mum giggle.
Available on Netflix
Dumplin
Okay, so this isn't my usual kind of film as all the songs are pretty much Dolly Parton and it's not my preferred taste in music but it was so like warming. Willowdean, who's mum was a beauty pageant queen, enters a pageant and she gives it her all and proves you don't have to be perfect to succeed!

Have you watched any of the above? What are your thoughts?

Beauty buys of December

I haven't done one of these written posts for a little while as I wasn't really buy too many products to warrant a post dedicated to what I had bought previously but when I sat there and put everything together I was a like oh there is a few bits here oops lol and nearly half are from Primark I just got a bit carried away. Primark are really impressing me at the moment a majority of the items were purchased when I was in London just before Christmas.

Marc Jacobs Daisy Love from £42
I will be doing a dedicated post (next week) to this so I won't go into too much detail but I absolutely love this such a beautiful scent.

Garnier botanical gel wash £3.49
This is my go to morning face wash, it just gently cleans your face. It's super handy that it's in a pump bottle even though it's a pump you are still able to get all the product out and it lasts super long!

Empties 2019 part 1

I feel like in this post there is a lot of products I've actually loved and was sad to see that I had finished them but what a great way to start the new year on a positive note.

Jahaitian black castor oil leave in conditioner £5.99
Sometimes when I use a lot of heat on my hair it can sometimes feel dry so I try and put some kind of leave in conditioner. When I use this it makes my hair feel so soft and I always concentrate on my ends as they are the most damaged especially where I colour my hair too.

Would I buy again?
Yes, a little goes a long way

Happy new year and hello 2019

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

This is up a little later than I wanted it to be but I decided to have a little break over the Christmas/New Year period. I hope you all had a lovely time and spent it with family and friends stuffing your faces with food.

I had a relaxing break away from work, all my Christmas shopping was done and wrapped in time I just helped my mum get the last of her presents. As my mum was working I offered to cook Christmas day dinner, first time I ever done home made Yorkshire puddings and they were a success! The whole dinner went down really well so I was happy with that. Unfortunately throughout the period I wasn't my usual self as I had pulled a muscle and got a cold so I stayed in a bit but I did see some of my family on Boxing day and had one of my aunties mouth watering dinners!

When I look back at the past year and what I had done I can definitely say I enjoyed myself, I went to a few concerts, went to Amsterdam for my birthday, Notting Hill Carnival, London, Manchester. Certainly made some more memories with my friends and family. This year I plan to do exactly the same live life to the fullest and do what's best for me and travel more.

I wish you all a happy 2019
