2018 Mid year update

How crazy we are half way through 2018 already, where has time gone?! Also was it me or did we seem to have the longest winter ever! I never thought spring or summer would ever appear as it just seemed to have dragged on but how much better is it now with the lighter evenings?

I have literally been writing this post for like a month now as I wanted to give you an update on what I'm doing and how I'm feeling, it's good to get it out now and again. The past 5/6 months have been a real eye opener for me I feel like I'm in a good place in life right now. This is not going to be in any particular order in how things happened but I just want to share what my steps were along the way to my new journey

(This is my fav filter!)

My lifestyle has changed recently and for the better! I'm going to the gym about 4/5 times a week which has had a big impact because even on weekends when I'm off I'm still getting up early and instead of laying in bed till like 9/10 I'm actually up and sometimes out the house by 7. I know what your thinking, she's crazy but I don't like wasting my days off anymore I like to get everything I can out of them lol. I get such a happy feeling after a work out and feel like I can face the day with whatever it throws at me. Along with the gym, my eating habits have changed and in the last month or so I've seen results which makes me happier so it's a win win. I am so much happier and see a more positive outcome on life even my manager at work has noticed how relaxed and apart of the team I am instead of being the quiet girl in the corner not really participating in anything and it was really nice to hear.

May, happiness month

This month I am doing something a little different. My work mum gets this TreatBox sent to her every month and it has some super cute little random things. May's box contained: Anatomicals strawberry and yarrow face mask, totes amaze tote bag, 4 mini cards (which have Calm, Breath, Believe and Smile written on them), a little card, two little coffee bags, Gnaw strawberry and vanilla white chocolate, daily concepts exfoliating scrubber and a calendar.

Now out of all of that amazing stuff I am focusing on the calendar in this post and the reason why is because it's not just a normal month one it's a May happy checklist. There is something different to do every day and as soon as I see it in the box I thought I need to do this, so I kind of borrowed it.

Goodbye 2016 and hello 2017

Is it me or does it seem like Christmas and New Year's was ages ago?

I may be one of a few who has not made a new years resolution/s, I personally feel if you want to change something in your life then do it when you are ready and not because it's the new year.

I did change a few things in my life for which I feel more positive for. Last year around March/April I made a big change in my life and got a new job, it was such a big step for me as I was in my previous job 5 and a half years so of course you get into a routine. I left because I wasn't happy and at times being there made my anxiety and depression worse, don't get me wrong there was good days and I met some lovely people but the bad days were getting more and more and I had to make a change. It was also interfering with my social and personal life, having to work weekends, bank holidays and Christmas/ New Year's, it just wasn't for me anymore. Since then I have been a lot more happier, I simply work Monday to Friday, I'm able to have more of a social life and see more of my family. I also joined a gym which I've wanted to join one for quite some time but didn't want to do it on my own so me and one of my friends go. I joined the gym because I want to be more healthier, I eat better then I used to (I still enjoy the odd take away now and again) and you know what I actually like the gym, over Christmas we did have a break and I missed it (what is wrong with me?!).

For this next year like I said earlier I have not made any resolutions or targets for anything, I just plan to live my life and be happy.

Have you made any resolutions?

Catching up with some family

Yesterday I met up with my Nan I haven't seen her in a month which is not good but we decided to meet up in town get a couple bits and just have a catch up. We strolled through high street popped in a couple shops, I saw a few things I liked but I was looking for a blazer or pair of leggings or jeggings or jeans in a lighter colour (all I have is dark colours, mainly black!). I was happy to find a blazer, that I had been looking at online for a while, in New Look Inspire, I tried it on and it was perfect very comfortable and stretchy it wasn't the kind that made you feel restricted at all. I had to purchase it along with a grey and neon pink floral scarf, if you know me you know I love scarves! Also I had popped to Tesco's as I had no luck in the town centre with finding any leggings/jeggings and actually found some skinny jeggings in a light stone wash colour from the F&F section. I haven't got a picture of them yet but I'm sure you will see them soon on my Instagram, LOL! Later in the evening me and my Aunties, Nan and Cousin were invited to a friend of the familys for a few drinks which turned out to be a classic family get together. We all had such a laugh some drinks, dancing and talking about this summer. One thing that was mentioned, was about the Global Rhythm music in the park day that happens every year in Christchurch Park and this year its on 12th July from 1pm - 7pm. We had all been to last years and we all thoroughly enjoyed it but hadn't arranged anything between ourselves to take any food or set up a spot so we could sit instead of standing all day. We have decided for a few us to all make some food and make a day of it and have a picnic in the park and enjoy the music and hopefully it will be a beautiful day! So that is something I'm currently looking forward to in the summer.
