6 things I'm currently loving

I thought in this post I would share with you all a few things I'm just obsessing with at the moment whether it's food or beauty related. This list is completely random and I haven't done anything like this before but I thought I would share a little about me.

Pasta with green pesto, feta and spinach
Recently I've tried something new for lunches at work it's so simple and yet so yummy. I literally cook pasta add green pesto, spinach and feta. I'm trying to do some more recipes of what foods I'm currently eating so keep an eye out.

La Reina Del Sur (TV)
This is based on the book by Arturo PĂ©rez-Reverte, there is already a series based on the book which is also called Queen of the South and is on Netflix. It's basically about this young female who falls in love and due to their line of work they die and she is on the run and makes a life for herself. Both series are kind of similar and I can't stop watching it. I will advise La Reina Del Sur is in subtitles so just be prepared.

Twinnings cold infusion tea in passion fruit, mango and blood orange
With the weather so hot lately putting one of these into cold water has been so refreshing it has a subtle hint of flavour and is not too over powering. There is other flavours and I've tried the watermelon and mint one but I was not overly keen on it.

Do You Juice?

Some of you may have noticed some unappealing green drinks I have been making recently and then some more appealing pink ones, well the story behind it is I don't get enough good food in my body and I want it to change. I know for a fact I don't eat enough fruit let alone trying to reach the 5 a day (including veg). I enjoy and love eating fruit but sometimes it seems like such a force to eat it so I thought there must be another way for me to get the goodness and seeing all over the internet that people are on this juicing thing. You may be thinking but smoothies (as some would call it) have been about for years which I know that but its now become something more out there to do and making them yourself is more fun as buying them from shops or doing the juice detoxes can be quite/very expensive. I researched a green juice which includes spinach to begin with as I have been adding this to nearly every dinner I eat and found a few for beginners which are very simple to do which I will give you a basic recipe of one I make. I will mix it up a bit have a spinach based one or a berry based both taste good an are good for you and as a plus I am feeling a lot better in myself, will soon be looking at other recipes soon to try.
See below of the recipes I currently make using the Breville Blend Active

My Birthday

It was my birthday on Saturday I was in London and I was happy to wake up outside of Ipswich for it and had breakfast cooked for me too!! I'd been shopping A LOT and it was safe to say (at the time) I think I was shopped out for a change which is so unlike me. I did buy a few things but I wasn't shopping for anything specific if I'm honest but I do need a couple new outfits as I'm going out at the end of the month but I have plenty of time. I made my way back to the station where I bought this cookies and cream waffle, it was AMAZING! Waffle with melted chocolate, whipped cream and mini Oreos ahhh, I want another one! Anyway enough of food talk lol I made my way back to Ipswich. My aunties and uncles were coming round for a few drinks and something to eat and not long after I got back from London they came over. We all had such a laugh an a joke and everyone loved the food my Dad had cooked. Was a really good night and I managed to get a selfie with everyone!!

Caribbean Music Day Global Rhythm 2014

A while back me and my aunties and nan had decided we would go to the Caribbean music in the park day Ipswich on 12th July. The weather did not look that great in the morning it was still very warm but cloudy. Of course later in the day it was a beautiful sunny hot day which I did not really wear the right clothes for as I had a pair of really thick black Ponte trousers on. We all just about got through to heat but we all very much enjoyed ourselves and having a few drinks watching the performances which were very entertaining and even one of my aunties was up on stage in a tiny winey competition but they were all too good and were all winners (even tho my auntie should have won!). Its always lovely when me and my family get together as we always have such a laugh. The only downfall is that it finishes way too early when everyone is happy and enjoying themselves it seems to stop. After we had gone back to my aunties and then gone to a friend of the families for a some more drinks and laugh and a joke. By the end of the night I was certainly ready for my bed my feet were aching but it didn't help I had worn new sandals! Here's a collage of a few pics from throughout the day..
