Empties of 2019 part 6

Here is another one of the empties posts, as you may already know these are products I've recently finished and here are my thoughts....

Naobay Protective hair mask volume and conditioner
I received this in a GlossyBox and as it says it's a volume hair mask and conditioner. I had quite a few uses out of it and my hair did feel lovely after using it.

Would I buy again?
No and mainly because I have no idea where to purchase it and I feel there is other volume conditioning masks you can get more locally.

Colgate max white toothpaste
Recently I've been getting into the whole charcoal/whitening toothpastes and I feel this is definitely a good like budget one. It doesn't have a funny taste as I have noticed some charcoal ones have and I did notice my teeth looked a bit more white.

Would I buy again?
Yes, a lot of places have this for £4 but have a look around you can pick it up cheaper.

Empties of 2019 part 5

A new month and a new set and of empty products to review, these are not the usual kind of products I tend to use, minus the dry shampoo but it's always good to try something new!
--

Batiste dry shampoo in tropical
You all know I love a dry shampoo, they come in so handy if I haven't had a chance to wash my hair or I just want to add a little texture. This one smells so gorgeous just like summer!

Will I buy again?
Of course!

Empties of 2018 Part 4

It's been a month or so since my last empties post, I have quite a lot of products which I have finished lately, my "little" stash of empty products is getting bigger slowly! I will say I really enjoyed using a majority of these and will definitely look at using in the future but some didn't quite make the cut.

Naobay Moisturising Peeling
When I first see this I was a little unsure because it said peeling I thought my face was going to be bright red after I used it but I would call this a light face scrub. The little bits in it are not harsh at all so it feels like a gentle exfoliation I suppose my face felt so good after and got rid of the dead skin. Only thing is it's quite runny and every time I opened it I never expected it to come out like it did!
Would I buy again?
Yes, I struggled to find this in any where and the only place which I can find that stocks it is Amazon and I'm waiting for the day it says out of stock and can never purchase it again!

August's GlossyBox Pride Edition

Ooh another Glossybox have brought out a special edition one, Pride, the packaging is so cute and I love how they have done a box this month to mark the 50th anniversary since the decriminalisation of homosexuality. This box includes multi use products for anyone to wants to their personality and be bold.

Rimmel Ink me heart stamp £4.99
When I first looked at this I honestly thought it was an eyeliner but it wasn't until I look the lid off that it was a heart shaped stamp. We had a little bit of fun with this at work I ended up with a heart on my face and left it to see if anyone would actually notice it. When we stamped it, it kind of went into the fine lines on ur hands but the one on my face was OK and lasted until I wiped it off. It's not something I would go out and buy myself but for a little bit of fun for a festival or something it's not too bad.

Victoria Secret let's pre glam sheet mask £5 or 3 for £10
I'm not sure if I will be using this as a pre glam mask but maybe after a heavy weekend to try et my skin back to life. I love a sheet mask gives you a excuse not to do anything for like 30 minutes and completely relax.

Empties of 2018 part 3

I think it's time for a little empties post as it's been a few months since my last one. I put all finished products unless they are repeat staple purchases in a bag and it wasn't until I looked the other day and realised it is building up so I picked some at random but I do try to get a mixture of things.

See what my thoughts were on these products

Empties of 2018 Part 1

Some more empty products to review yay!! I love reading posts or watching YouTube videos on empty products and I love giving my opinion on what products I felt that worked and maybe not so much. A few months ago I wrote my first empties post, click here and with the amount of empty products I have (a big bag full) this will become a regular thing.

Here is a handful picked at random and most I enjoyed using, a couple not so much but it's all about trying new products to see what you like right?

On a quick note how is it Wednesday already? Officially half way through the week, we can make it!

My recent beauty buys

It's been a while since I done one of these kind of posts, unfortunately I just haven't been buying loads of beauty products to do a haul like post. Over the last month or so I've bought a few things, some which were repurchases and some new. I kind of forgot how much I love shopping for anything beauty related but not how much money I would spend!

See what new products I've bough and what products I've repurchased....

Empties .. Love or hate part 1

Towards the end of summer I found myself finishing quite a few products and I've kept majority of them aside and thought I would review them and give my thoughts, some loved and will be reused but some would not be my immediate choice. This will be in two parts as I'm coming to an end with some more products.

Shopping in Westfields

Last weekend we decided to stop by Westfields on Sunday on our way home from seeing Beyoncé on the Saturday. First thing we did though was have a cheeky Nandos, it had to be done (and we kind of skipped breakfast so we was hungry). Pretty much every shop we had gone into had a extra long queue, I have no idea why but everyone thought it would be a good idea to go shopping at that point. I did ideally want to pick up a few things mainly tops, as I seem to have enough jeans, skirts, trousers and leggins and I'm starting to think of late that I'm struggling to find tops in my wardrobe or I find myself wearing the same things on the weekends. There is not many (if any) stores that have plus size clothes in Westfields in Stratford but at the moment where I am loosing weight I am starting to find myself being able to shop in some of the "normal" high street stores which is a good thing and personally it makes me happy. I will never be skinny, partially because that's not how I am built and who wants to be skinny, like common really?

Beauty buys of April

Last month I only purchased a few things compared to previous months and this month lol. I think it's because I didn't really need anything or nothing really grabbed my attention that much but this months will be more interesting :) There will be two things I will always love and continue to buy for like ever, which they are Victoria Secrets body sprays and Bourjois lipsticks.

The sprays are just amazing, the scent lasts long as well which is kind of surprising for a spray like this. They are available in their Westfields Stratford store (and online) which is a bit of an excuse to go London if I'm running low and I get excited when I do go, either re stocking on ones I've already had or looking for a new one to add to the collection. Along with body sprays they also have other products in their VS Fantasies collection like : body lotion, shower gel, eau de toilette ideal for a night out and mists/oils. You may think they are a little pricey but purchase them with the offer they have which I believe is 5 products for £30 which is so worth it as they last so long. I was given a travel bottle of Hello Darling and fell in love with it straight away and is coming to an end so I had to repurchase it but they don't do this one in the UK store but luckily found it on Ebay. Most of their scents remind me of summer I think mainly because I first purchased them in the summer but they are all refreshing. Hello Darling's scent is white nectarine and peony.

Left to right 01 Appechissant, 09 Happy Nude Year, 02 Rosé on the rocks

When it comes to buying lipsticks I find myself being at the Bourjois stand, I have no idea why. After purchasing some of the Rouge Edition Velvet matte reds last year sometime I was impressed with the staying power of it I then tried some nudes in the Rouge Edition which I think if you want to wear lipstick but your unsure of what colour or you don't want to be over the top you can't go wrong with a nude. Bourjois have recently come out with the Rouge Edition Aqua Laque which I thought I'd try as I have previously been impressed but I was a little disappointed with this. The staying power is not as strong as the others (mattes), I found it to be more like a lip gloss and I found myself re applying throughout a night out, I will still use it but maybe use an actual lipstick as a base and apply this on top.

Ice coolers and shopping...

I've been in London this weekend (so happy!) which you will often see a post about, I just can't get enough of this city, never fails to amaze me. Once in a while when I'm here I have to make a trip to Westfields in Stratford to visit Victoria Secrets, not for the underwear but they do this brilliant deal with their VS Fantasies, you can get any 5 of them for just £30 but some are like nearly £13 on their own. With what I got today I saved £35 but they not all for me, a friend of mine has been asking me why I smell so nice at work and wanted me to get her some on my next trip. They have quite a few different ones to choose from and they all have the body lotions, shower gels, mini perfume perfect for your bag on a night out and more but I cannot remember right now! I didn't go over board with the main shopping as I couldn't really see anything that caught my eye plus I do find it hard plus size shopping, as not a lot of shops here really cater for a plus size and when it feels like there is not air con in this place it does not help. I did find a lovely light blush pink blazer from Primark (I will get a picture soon!) I thought it would be perfect for the summer and possibly go lovely with the Navy skater style dress I purchased from the Gok Wan Collection in Tu which I got for half price and looks gorgeous on. Also had to stop off and cool own and grab a Ice Mint Mocha from Costa to cool me down and worked a treat but I did later on buy the Red Berry Cooler which was my addiction last summer, I couldn't help it!

Beauty buys of June

Hello Darling's

Throughout June I have been shopping a little more only purely because I need to update my wardrobe as summer is very closely approaching. With that in mind I thought I'm going to have to update/renew my beauty products (ie make up, fragance etc). A friend of mine recommended I visit the No7 counter in Boots as I had mentioned that I wanted a new foundation and as they do the Match Made Service. I have oily combination skin and was looking for something that will give me coverage but not too much and too heavy on my skin, the lady advised to try the No7 Beautifully Matte Foundation. She applied the Cool Beige and I loved it! the coverage it gave without looking too much and fake. I got a new Foundation brush, from No7 as well but as I bought two items from No7 I got a free gift, which was a set of miniatures, inside was a mascara, BB lips, nail varnish and a eye shadow, perfect on the go. Everytime I paint my nails I never know which one to choose, so far I've added Barry M Gelly High Shine in Passion Fruit, its such a vibrant colour and Essie in Not Just A Pretty Face which is a pretty colour, to the collection. Both are quick drying which is a must to me these days. I've read in a few different places over time that lip scrubs are good obviously for getting rid of dry skin which I notice more when I apply lipstick. The only place I have seen them is in Lush, I thought I'd give it a try so I got the Bubblegum one, it smells 'Lush' and its edible too!! And a little charity hand/body cream pot. My trip earlier this month to London doing some light shopping included going to Victoria Secrets to stock up on some of of their body mist/sprays my two favourite have to have are the Amber Romance and Pure Seduction (I've had many compliments! but I found another one Sensual Blush. They all smell amazing, so if you get a chance pop in! I think thats all I bought .... for now (hehe!)
