Autumn/Winter wishlist 2019

We all know I love a bit of shopping! I popped into my local high street/shopping centre and found so many lovely bits in this year as well as things online. I absolutely love autumn time to me it's just cosy, grab a coffee or tea and either watch a film or go sit in a coffee shop and watch the day go by, that's if you haven't got anything to do lol.

I thought I would share with you all what pieces I am currently loving and potentially will end up buying!

Autumn/Winter wish list 2018

Some of you that know me very well will know I'm such a lover of Autumn, there is something about the nights getting a darker earlier, bon fire night, big cosy scarves oh and of course my birthday! I've just been looking online and in the high street and seen a few things that I really want to purchase this season. At the moment I haven't bought anything mainly because I cannot find myself buying a big jumper or coat just yet but over the next month or so I know I'll start some autumn winter shopping!

How gorgeous is this burgundy satin shirt and the floral bodysuit, either one would be perfect with a pair of jeans and some heeled boots for a casual night out or date night so many outfits you can create with them. Who doesn't love a oversized hoody with a pair of leggings, ideal for them slouchy days or when you cannot be bothered to find anything to wear.

Westfields mini shopping haul

So I done some shopping last time I was in London, not a massive shop but I picked up a few things from Westfield's Stratford. Every so often when I'm in the city I will pick up a few things mainly to do with make up as living in Ipswich we don't have brands like Mac, NYX or Nars so I often find myself at a make up counter in one of the department stores or getting my make up done in Mac. Not everything I bought was for me or things I needed but why not treat yourself now and again!

I will most likely go on another mini shopping haul more around clothes but I think another bag purchase will be on the horizon, I've been eyeing a bag from Zara and I now realty want it..

Clothing wishlist

Sorry I've been a little quiet lately, getting back in to the swing of things with work, getting back into the gym, started a separate boot camp class as well and it was my uncles birthday a couple weeks ago we had a family meal and then the weekend after a surprise party was arranged for him. Just feel like I haven't had any me time :( I'm happy to say this weekend I will be relaxing!

If I'm honest I couldn't tell you the last time I went shopping and bought loads of clothes possibly towards the end of summer? I have bought the odd thing but they have been more essentials like vest tops to wear under shirts, socks or buying the same pair of jeans you already own because they are so comfortable (I am bad for buying the same thing in all the colours or just having 3 pairs of the same item). A few things have recently caught my eye online and I thought I'd share with you what I'm liking at the moment.

Birthday Wish List 2016

My birthday is coming up very soon, 1st November to be precist, I do love when my birthday it's not too cold and I'm not stuck inside doing nothing! I'm having the week off work and will spend some time with my mum as she has the week off too and will at some point hop on a train to London and do some shopping and visit my favourite place, V&A.

Of course everyone has ideas of what they want and I thought I'd share with you a few things I would love to have some of them are a bit out there but a girl can dream.

The longline check shirt

Over the weekend me and my family got together and we went out Saturday evening. It was a casual night not something to really get dressed up for so I decided to wear my new RI red check shirt. I see this last week when I passed through, I was mainly excited they had something in stock in my size!

Is summer on its way?

Last Saturday I had popped out for a late lunch with a friend and a bit of a catch up. I wasnt feeling all that great Saturday and if I'm honest I'm still not quite a 100% but I thought I needed to get out have some food and I also wanted to get a couple tops from Primark. It was a lot warmer then it had been, I hadn't got any of my main summer clothes out my wardrobe because I've been managing with just my 'general' ones. I really wanted to stay away from wearing black, one we all know wearing black clothes attract the sun more and two it was a lovely sunny day so why would I want to be head to toe in black?! It was quite hot and I just found myself in front of my wardrobe and shouting (more of a cry for help) "what do I wearrrr????".

Beyoncé's Formation World Tour

What a weekend, me and a friend of mine were lucky enough to get tickets for Beyoncé's Formation World Tour for the 2nd July show, we bought them back in February which now seems like such a long time ago. Before we knew it was like 3 weeks away (where I started looking for an outfit), then 2 weeks (waiting for things to be delivered), then 1 week (buying last minute things) and then it was the day!

From the office to after work drinks

Have you ever been invited for a few cheeky after work drinks on Friday with you work colleagues? I know you’re thinking what a great way to start the weekend but what do you wear that is suitable for the office but can still look good for a few drinks?! Of course you don’t want to look too glammed up for work but you want to find that happy medium. The outfit is the key thing and you feel like you need to get that on point but there is also a couple other ways you can change a little for example: add a bit of make-up, change from flat shoes to heels or if you're wearing tights remove them (it is now spring ladies get your razors ready!).

So what do you wear?

Afternoon tea and drinks with my family

As a little extra for my mum’s birthday I decided to get all the females in the family to join me and my mum for afternoon Tea at the Salthouse, well all that could make it. Myself and my mum have been to afternoon tea in the past (including The Ritz which is amazing), for some members of the family it was their first time. We all enjoyed it very much catching up with each other and having a laugh and we all agreed we would do it again but in the summer as it was a little cold. If you are in the area and you like a cup of tea, mini food and a beautiful view in summer I would highly recommend you book a table with some friends and enjoy. The family members that couldn’t make the tea came round that evening and we all had a few drinks and music playing, my dad had cooked some food. My mum has enjoyed her birthday celebrations but is now happy that we can go back to normal!

It was casual dress but I still wanted to make an effort as The Salthouse is a lovely hotel, it's kind of posh but not posh if you know what I mean. I wanted to be comfortable in what I was very because we was going to be sat down for a little while so I decided to wear a black sleeveless belted jacket with my khaki flowered shirt some black treggins and my trusty Chelsea boots.

Jacket - Dorothy Perkins (currently in the sale)
Shirt - Sold out in New Look but here is something similar
Trousers - Dorothy Perkins
Shoes - New Look
Earrings - River Island

Celebrating my mums birthday

It was my mums yesterday and it was quite a special one. Myself and my dad decided we would go for a meal to celebrate, somewhere nice and different to where we usually would go. We decided to go to The Last Anchor, we had all been last year for another family member's birthday and we thoroughly enjoyed out meal.

We decided as it was mid week that we weren't going to dress up majorly but still look like we made an effort. I had two outfit ideas in mind, both involved a sleeveless blazer either black or khaki and whichever I didn't choose to wear for the meal I would wear Friday for afternoon tea. My mum had to help me a little bit and she could understand my dilemma both would look lovely but which one for the meal. I didn’t want to wear anything that was fitted or restricting which is why in the end decided to wear black long sleeved roll neck stretch top, black treggins with a khaki belted blazer and black Chelsea boots. I felt this was more suited for a evening meal. Also it was very comfortable and wasn't over the top. Personally I think sleeveless blazers are a wardrobe staple, they go wish pretty much anything and ideal for all year around.

The meal itself was absolutely beautiful and I would recommend anyone to go there if they are around, you may wish to book in advance to avoid disappointment especially on weekends

A Stroll Before I Go Back To Work

*UPDATED*
Yesterday was my last day off before I go back to work after just over a week off :( I didn't wan to just sit around and do nothing so I popped to town just to have a browse and possibly buy a pair of leggins I'd seen in New Look Inspire a few days ago. I couldn't decide what to wear so I wore what I know best.. Black (lol). I wore the most comfortable leggings I own stretchy plain black leggings from Marks and Spencer, these are the best I have come across after years of searching but for the last two years they have never disappointed. I had this long line dip hem shirt (purchased a couple years back) and a pair of simple black sandals,
both from New Look. They no longer stock the black ones but they have them in white or here is a similar pair in black. I think I have a bit of an addiction to New Look, they have got some nice statement pieces coming in this season, I'm a little excited an excuse to shop!! I was very minimal with my jewellery as I only wore the cutest little dainty Scorpio necklace I got from River Island a few days prior. I almost forgot my leopard print bow belt from Primark which matches my phone case :)

Last couple weeks shopping haul

I have been a little naughty over the last couple weeks shopping when I don't really need to but that's what I love to do. Now that the season is changing I thought it was time for some change/update on a few things and I'm slowly getting out of the by everything in black mode. You may notice that H&M is a shop I'm slightly obsessed with but they are reasonably priced and always have what I'm looking for. You may think I've bought a fair few bits but this is just the beginning of change for me. So here's what I purchased in the last two weeks and there will be more to come !!

The Kimono is out

Yesterday was a beautiful day, me and my mum decided to go for lunch at our favourite place Mizu and do a little shopping (like I really need to do any lol). It was a warm day but had a little breeze at times but it was comfortable unlike today, rainy and a bit chilly. When the suns out I feel very happy a lot of people can relate, the sun is an instant mood changer. I dressed very casual, light pair of jeggings, black top and the most comfortable pair of sandals I forgot I even had. I was feeling a little plain so I had a light bulb moment and decided to wear the mono print kimono from Asos Curve a month or so ago. I kept everything else to a minimum, natural look make up, little jewellery and I didn't even paint my nails! Sometimes I think being minimal is just what's needed and you don't need to constantly be dressed to the nines that becomes a full time job in itself!

Top : Asos Curve, sold out but click here for similar style
Jeggins : F and F, sold out but click here for similar style
Sandals : New Look, sold out but click here for similar style (all white)

Handbags, handbags and more handbags

A slight random post but if anyone truly knows me they know that I have a bit of a handbag addiction and majority of them are not small either. My mum forever moans at me if I get a new bag but I think one can never have enough bags hehe :) They are all different style (a lot of them black) but they all have their own uses : totes for carrying absolutely everything, over body for essentials and mini ones for the very bare essentials. I prefer the oversized bags even when it comes to some clutch bags I own, I just know I can get everything I need in especially when I'm working I don't want to be carrying another bag for my lunch it's just too much! I do own smaller bags but I can't help myself but to buy a bigger one but there is a downfall to owning an oversized bags and bin one of these females who carries everything for those just in case moments is I'm often taking out half the contents to find what it is I'm looking for BUT I have found a resolution and its called Cocoon Grid It. I came across it in a magazine whilst at work, its this hard back grid with elastic strips up and down it and its designed to keep loose items all together. I haven't yet used it but I know it will definitely come in use when I go away. I have bought bags from up and down the high street from Accessorize to Zara, there are so many out there I love/d but the one thing that gets my full approval is the durability of it. Some bags I've had in the past don't even make it to the end of that season which as you can imagine is disappointing to say the least which is why I am little hesitate in purchasing any River Island bags that I would use as an everyday bag as I have found the handles to split and its not even down to me putting a lot in them or abusing it but hopefully they will change in the near future?
The pictures above are just SOME of the bags I own and below are some of the essential bags I use or what I use them for.

The Everyday
This is my absolute favourite!! It fits everything in ad is perfect for travelling, can be carried over your arm of if you don't want put it over your shoulder. I must admit I do lie to have an option especially if I am shopping and I buy a few things it gets a little annoying having it over my arm. This is still available from H&M but the have sold out of the black croc on line but see here for other colours.

The Summer Evening
First of all it is the complete opposite colour to what I would usually buy but that's why I bought it. This little laser cut out bag was versatile as the strap is detachable is ideal for them summer evenings going for drinks and other occasion. Unfortunately this has completely sold out at River Island, I purchased it last summer.

The Shopper
My favourite print LEOPARD. Now this is an additional bag I will carry if I'm doing a bit of shopping when I know I will just end up carrying loads of little bags, you could say I'm doing my bit for the environment by taking this with me and not accepting the plastic bags :) I bought this from Sainsburys, Lulu Guinness for Comic Relief, most stores have now sold out :(

The Cross Body
You know them days you don't want to actually carry I bag over your arm and it will just ache after some time, this Topshop cross body bag I bought at least 3 years ago and is still going strong and amazingly still looks like brand new. Unlike a lot of cross body bags that are around the actual strap that goes across your body can go super long when you are a little taller you don't really want your bag feeling like its right under your armpit!

Blush Pink

I had to pop out yesterday morning to post my #JoyfulJunePSBloggers parcel. The weather was looking a bit cloudy and was not as warm as yesterday. Trying to find something to wear was a little hard as my dad said it was suppose to brighten up. I was so eager to wear my new pink blush blazer I purchased from Primark last weekend whilst in London as it was not something I would normally purchase, as I normally stick to black and think I will jazz it up with accessorise. Since I have been blogging and looking at other peoples style it has made me realise I don't just have to wear black or dark colours I can wear different colours too. Not long ago I had purchased a pair of light wash jeggings from F&F which are super comfortable and stretchy as well which I find is a bonus and they only were £12 will have to be buying more! I never thought I would be ever buying a light pair of jeggings as I've always stuck with dark ones. I wore it with a simple black Asos Curve vest top and a pair light pink of sandals from Primark and my new cat eye sunglasses from River Island (my mum liked them so much she bought a pair but in a different colour!). Off I went posting my parcel I also though ah why not by a tripod for my DSLR camera, it would be so much easier taking pictures of outfits and to help with my photography a bit more as its something I really want to do more off. As soon as I got home it was straight out the bag and all set up to take a picture of my outfit that day. Below as you can see is my outfit using the tripod.

The love for a shirt

Recently I have been seeing a few shirts about and the last few times I've been to London I've ended up buying a shirt (mostly from Primark). Shirts are so versatile and can be dressed up for a night out with a pair of heels and skirt or down with a pair of leggings or jeans and boots. I'm not sure why but I am now a bit of a sucker for a shirt and a long line cardigan an will soon be purchasing some jumpers too as winter is approaching very quickly!! So I think this season shirts will be my main thing. The other day I met up with a couple of my girls for a catch up and a bite to eat and with a new grid print shirt purchased the week before I just had to wear it I wanted to wear my light grey cardigan but as it was raining that wasn't a good idea so I quickly put on my zig zag jacket (here's something similar) and went. I kindly asked Nowara to get a few pictures in front of the random "?" by the docks and she gladly said yes! Thank you :)

Wednesday Addams

Me and my family were invited to a fancy dress Halloween/birthday party last night, at first I didn't really want to dress up but as we were all talking I decided I would. As I have long hair dark hair my dad has often joked around and said that I should dress up as Morticia Addams which I was going to but I could really find a long black dress then I realised I had a dress which was kind of similar to Wednesday Addams and thought perfect. The dress I have had for well over a year and I've never worn it and was such a bargain as I bought it for less then £10 from AX Paris Curve (I think they have disappeared now?), paired with some 200 denier tights from Primark (so comfortable too!) and my military style boots and of course my new cute River Island Mini Structured Bag. I had been watching YouTube make up tutorials for Wednesday mainly for the eyes as I wasn't too sure how to do them and I had foundation and concealers that can make my face look paler. I bought this Beauty UK's eye shadow and liner but I didn't use the brush included I just used a Smokey Eye Duo Brush and for the base I used Soap and Glory's Kick Ass Concealer the used Lush's Light Yellow foundation and to top it off and keep it all matte (also my favourite beauty product) Inglot's Mattifying Loose Powder. We all finally finished our make up and costumes and oh my we all looked amazing and we had such a good night. We woke this morning and was just laughing so much with how everyone looked so good.

Catch Up Friday

I haven't been feeling very well for a few days but I had planned earlier in the week to catch up with Nowara which was much needed, in the evening. I was up early on Friday which was unusual as it was my day off, I'd straightened my hair (which seems to take forever!) slowly got ready and I had to go into town to get a couple things then come back to meet my mum before we went food shopping. By the time we got home it wasn't long before I had to go back out again, it felt like I was on the go all day which was a good thing. The sun was shining very bright and surprisingly wasn't really that cold which was a good thing but I still wore my black lace up boots which now I love wearing super comfortable with a Asos Curve black swing top and my New Look Inspire Blazer during the day but later changed into my "leather" jacket from River Island as I knew it would get cold. Anyway we met up at my favorite place Cult, I hadn't been for a while and it's not overly expensive. We had a few drinks and something to eat (I had the food in the top left of the picture and Nowara had the naughty Waffles and Ice Cream) and a well deserved catch up. Was lovely evening ...
