Mac Eyebrow Styler review

Sometime in July or August I visited the Mac store in Stratford on the hunt for a new nude lip combo but also asked about their brow products. I haven't really heard anything about what kind of products they offer as I usually stick to Benefit products as you cannot go wrong with them.

I wanted something that would look more natural and not so bold so the mua, who was so lovely, suggested the Eye Brow Styler in Spiked. It's a self sharpening, natural looking pencil, she just applied it in light strokes to just fill in the gaps and enhance the shape of them and literally two minutes later they were done. Also it's great for on the go as it has a brush on the other end so you don't need to have a separate brush.

Current make up wish list

Happy Friday!!!

I don't think I've done a post like this before of what make up products, there is so many amazing products out whether they are new or ones that have been out for some time and I haven't got round to trying. I know I definitely do not need any more make up and need to start using what I've got but there is just something about buying new make up that just gets me excited.
So here's what I've got my eye on at the moment.

Charlotte Tilbury lipstick and liner in Pillow Talk
How beautiful is this colour?! Just the perfect shade of nude. I don't own any Charlotte
Tilbury products and I think this could be my first purchase to ease my way in.

I already own the foundation and absolutely love it but I'm yet to find the right primer to use with it so why not actually purchase the primer to go with it. Also I;ve seen the results and alone it looks amazing.

Urban Decay Naked eye shadow palette in Heat
Do I need to really explain why I'm in love with this palette, the colours are just stunning you can create so many looks from day to evening with this and I know the pigments are great as I own Naked 3 which is lovely.

Now I'm very intrigued by this setting spray as I've not come across one that gives you a glow. This will most likely be a summer purchase to add a little summer glow.

I've heard wonders about this setting spray and I really do need a good one that will keep my make up at bay especially when I'm out for the whole day.

Again like the setting spray I've heard some pretty good reviews on this and I'm on the look out for a new primer but I might buy this in the travel size first to see how I get on.

Yes I'm late on the bandwagon with this purchase as at the time I had found my ideal undereye concealer but now I'd like to try something new, I'm still deciding on the shade maybe Natural or Light Ivory maybe both, who knows?

Mac Mineralize Skin Finish Soft and Gentle.
I've had my eye on this one for quite some time, when I was going to purchase it I was persuaded to purchase Doublegleam which I absolutely love its a great all rounder.

Fenty Beauty Blotting Papers
As I do have an oily T-zone, carrying blotting papers has become essential and the Fenty one comes in a cute little case with a mirror and you can use as much or as little as you want and they have the refill which is always good as well.

Can you tell I'm on the hunt for a primer? Another which looks great, not too sure which one to pick yet!

Have you tried any of the above products? What is on your make up wish list?

Three product work make up

I thought I would share with you all what make up I wear daily to work, it's simple and straight forward and the best part of it is I only use three products... Yes just three! I like to wear a little something just to try even out my skin tone mainly on my cheeks where I've had blemishes in the past (and still get them now from time to time) and give a little colour to my cheeks.

So I will do my usual morning routine which I will do another post shortly in a bit more details on what products I use at the moment. Before I used to do my make up once I got to work but now I've managed to be able to get ready and do it all before I leave (most mornings).

Mac's Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation

So I've had my eye on Mac's Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation, it's actually been sat in my safari list on my phone so I didn't forget which one I had been looking at. It's a powder and foundation in one with medium to full coverage, now I'm not sure if this is just me but I don't see how a powder has a full coverage, maybe it depends on how you apply it? I'm not sure but I was intrigued to try this as it's described as a foundation I thought this could be ideal on the days where I don't wanted to wear a liquid foundation but I still want something on my face.

Anywhooo I went into Mac last week and I got matched up with NW25 which is actually darker than the Mineralize powder I have in light plus, I slyly think it wasn't right for me from the start but I do use it. It was applied with the 135 large flat powder brush and when I looked in the mirror I could see it immediately went matte and the colour was just exactly what I wanted, not too pale and not too dark.

Westfields mini shopping haul

So I done some shopping last time I was in London, not a massive shop but I picked up a few things from Westfield's Stratford. Every so often when I'm in the city I will pick up a few things mainly to do with make up as living in Ipswich we don't have brands like Mac, NYX or Nars so I often find myself at a make up counter in one of the department stores or getting my make up done in Mac. Not everything I bought was for me or things I needed but why not treat yourself now and again!

I will most likely go on another mini shopping haul more around clothes but I think another bag purchase will be on the horizon, I've been eyeing a bag from Zara and I now realty want it..

Beauty favourites of 2016

Happy New Year everyone!! I hope you all had a lovely time. I haven't made any new yeas resolutions but 2017 will be a year I want to be happy and I wish for all my friends and family the same.

On the last day of 2016 I posted a video to my YouTube channel. It took a lot of courage to take the video and post it as I am very shy and I hate hearing the sound of my own voice (when editing). I hope in the future I will make more of these, make sure you check it out and give it a thumbs up and also subscribe.

Christmas gift ideas

Christmas is creeping up on us very quickly don't you think? There is only two Saturdays left of shopping. I love trying to find presents for people especially things they would like and use. I have created a little gift ideas for her. I'm quite lucky this year I already know what I'm buying and I now only have two more gifts to buy (organised or what!).

My new Mac highlighter

So over the weekend I went to London and done some light shopping as it was my birthday last week. When I'm in London, I always end up in Mac and the last few times I've been I have often some out with something, it's so dangerous me going to be honest.

What I bought in Mac

A couple of weekends ago I went London and I was on a bit of a make up hunt, I wanted some new things I have no idea why as I already have loads but heyyyy. I passed by Mac and with intentions of buying their Cream Colour Base in Midtone Sepia (mainly for contouring) but sadly they didn't have this in store. I carried on looking around at the other products and came across the concealer and I remembered one thing I am looking for is a under eye brightening concealer.

My recent beauty haul

The last few weeks have been a little busy for me with a few things going on and not being in Ipswich over the weekends, I've finally got some time to show you what make up I've bought recently. I had intentions of just buying one new mac lipstick and their Soft and Gentle highlighter whilst I was in London but that kind of didn't go to plan. I've found my new favourite lipstick and discovered NYX and Ben Nye (late I know but better late then never at all).

Daytime Eyeliner with a sparkle

Friday I done my make up a little different to how I usually do it on my days off, I normally use Watt's Up, Hoola and mascara but I fancied a bit of eye liner. Whenever I wear eyeliner I forget how much I love the look but because I don't do it often enough it takes me a little while to get them both matching. So I had a bit of time Friday and for once I actually done my eyes before my base, it makes a massive difference so I will certainly doing this in the future. I added a little sparkle under my bottom lash line just to see how it would look instead of black and I really liked it. It is a simple look without being too done up for day time, also there is a little contour but not too much. So see below on how I created this look and the products used, I will try and do a video soon but enjoy :)

Beauty fav's of July

Firstly I'd like to apologise for the delay with this post I've had some time off recently, been having some fun at Notting Hill Carnival and relaxing!!

This post is slightly different instead of all the beauty buys I've selected my favourites, which are my purchases from Wales! It was my fist time in Mac actually speaking to someone about what I wanted and it was quite nice because it was so early in the morning I was like the first customer and only for a while. After having my make up done I also had my first experience in Jo Malone.

I wanted a decent foundation and after reading so many reviews on websites/blogs I decided that I would go with a Mac foundation, something not too heavy but has enough coverage but nothing sheer. I did have an idea of what kind of ones I was looking for but she asked what my needs were so medium coverage, kind of matte finish and the main thing I have combination skin tone and she came back with the Pro Longwear Nourishing Waterproof Foundation in NC25, she applied it and the coverage was exactly what I wanted, wasn't too heavy you could still see my freckles slightly beneath but that was fine. The only problem is if I get a slight tan it may be a little pale for me but can always purchase a darker shade.

My first Mac lipstick moment was so exiting I couldn't resist myself. Nudes are me at the moment especially when I go out, they are perfect for day and night time, she picked out one and I tried it but it wasn't what I was looking for then she got Velvet Teddy and straight away I was like yes this is the one!

I kind of needed a new mascara as my They're Real slowly running out, so when it comes to this I want VOLUME, I love long lashes. I luckily have naturally long lashes but adding mascara just makes my eyes pop more I think. So when she applied Extreme Dimension 3D Black Lash I was more shocked then when I first tried on They're Real.

Lastly, Jo Malone. This shop is just amazing, I will definitely be returning to a store closer to me when I next go away. I have written a separate post about my experience read here.

Enjoy

New Make Up

As it was my birthday a few weeks ago I went a little over board on buying some make up and brushes, normally I'd buy the high street brands like Bourjois, Rimmel or L'Oreal but I do own a Chanel and YSL lipstick which I bought as treats! I'm kind of annoyed to why I didn't buy the following any sooner because I cannot rate them highly enough.
