Happy new year and hello 2019

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

This is up a little later than I wanted it to be but I decided to have a little break over the Christmas/New Year period. I hope you all had a lovely time and spent it with family and friends stuffing your faces with food.

I had a relaxing break away from work, all my Christmas shopping was done and wrapped in time I just helped my mum get the last of her presents. As my mum was working I offered to cook Christmas day dinner, first time I ever done home made Yorkshire puddings and they were a success! The whole dinner went down really well so I was happy with that. Unfortunately throughout the period I wasn't my usual self as I had pulled a muscle and got a cold so I stayed in a bit but I did see some of my family on Boxing day and had one of my aunties mouth watering dinners!

When I look back at the past year and what I had done I can definitely say I enjoyed myself, I went to a few concerts, went to Amsterdam for my birthday, Notting Hill Carnival, London, Manchester. Certainly made some more memories with my friends and family. This year I plan to do exactly the same live life to the fullest and do what's best for me and travel more.

I wish you all a happy 2019

What I like to do this time of year

There is definitely something about autumn and winter that I just love, the nights drawing in an excuse to just binge watch a series on Netflix which I have been doing a lot of lately (oops) lol but who can stop me and it's cold outside! As I didn't take much holiday throughout the year, I have been a little wise, I've ended up with having quite a lot of days left between November and December so it's been giving me time to do some things I really love to do at this time of year.

Winter wonderland
This place just screams Christmas vibes, if you have never been it's basically a event that's held in Hyde Park which starts at the end of November and is on till early January. It's almost like a winter fun fair as there is rides, circus, games, food stalls, bars and stalls where you can purchase various items. Last year I went to the circus and I absolutely loved it. I will say that the price of things like food and drink are, as expected, a little pricey but entry to Winter Wonderland itself is free, I will say if you want to go to a show or ice bar you will need to be before attending and the earlier you book the better as you won't be disappointed.

Hello 2018

How are we mid way through January already? It does not seem that long ago that it was Christmas and everyone was celebrating New Years? I hope everyone had a lovely time spending it with their loved ones and stuffing ya face till you can't move anymore! That's what it's all about really oh and presents, who doesn't love a presents?! Especially when you wasn't expecting it or it's something you really wanted. I had spent the days that I could with my family but unfortunately throughout the festive period I was not feeling 100% so I spent a majority of the time in bed with my teddy hot water bottle watching Netflix.

Now all the festivities are over it's back to reality, 2018 here we come! Probably like a lot of people I'm not setting no resolutions because if you want things to change that much you will do it without it being a new year new start or fresh start crap because come on who really sticks at their new years resolutions? This year for me I want to do more whether that's jumping on a plane to go somewhere or find new places to explore in the UK either do it alone and with the people I love. Getting back into a healthier lifestyle is key for me as well, small changes at a time will make a difference. Some may say that I have set resolutions but these are changes I've been trying to make these for past couple months. Overall I want to look back and say this year was a good year with a big smile on my face!

This list has both his and her ideas, you may even like something for yourself or to put in as a stocking filler for someone else.

Goodbye 2016 and hello 2017

Is it me or does it seem like Christmas and New Year's was ages ago?

I may be one of a few who has not made a new years resolution/s, I personally feel if you want to change something in your life then do it when you are ready and not because it's the new year.

I did change a few things in my life for which I feel more positive for. Last year around March/April I made a big change in my life and got a new job, it was such a big step for me as I was in my previous job 5 and a half years so of course you get into a routine. I left because I wasn't happy and at times being there made my anxiety and depression worse, don't get me wrong there was good days and I met some lovely people but the bad days were getting more and more and I had to make a change. It was also interfering with my social and personal life, having to work weekends, bank holidays and Christmas/ New Year's, it just wasn't for me anymore. Since then I have been a lot more happier, I simply work Monday to Friday, I'm able to have more of a social life and see more of my family. I also joined a gym which I've wanted to join one for quite some time but didn't want to do it on my own so me and one of my friends go. I joined the gym because I want to be more healthier, I eat better then I used to (I still enjoy the odd take away now and again) and you know what I actually like the gym, over Christmas we did have a break and I missed it (what is wrong with me?!).

For this next year like I said earlier I have not made any resolutions or targets for anything, I just plan to live my life and be happy.

Have you made any resolutions?

Last minute Christmas gifts

Have you left it really to the last minute to buy something for a female? Well I've created another little list of things you can get last minute. If you can't make it into the stores a lot of places still have delivery options to have it in time for Christmas with of course delivery charges or some of them are offering free delivery of orders over a certain amount.

Christmas gift ideas

Christmas is creeping up on us very quickly don't you think? There is only two Saturdays left of shopping. I love trying to find presents for people especially things they would like and use. I have created a little gift ideas for her. I'm quite lucky this year I already know what I'm buying and I now only have two more gifts to buy (organised or what!).
